Melas Georgios

Mr. Melas Georgios joined our company in 2020. Following a decade of experience as seagoing engineer, he completed a prestigious MEng degree (First Class with honours) in Marine Engineering at Newcastle University. For the past 7 years he worked for a leading IACS Classification Society, initially as a surveyor until promoted to Deputy Marine Operations Manager for UK, North Europe, Scandinavian countries and Eastern Mediterranean countries. His previous experience and exposure to these posts provided him with important insight and knowledge of the industry. His extensive knowledge, ethics and hardworking approach can become a valuable asset to the company.

On a personal note… I enjoy riding my motorcycle, either on a short ride in the outskirts of the city or on track whenever the opportunity presents itself. Lately however, most of my free time is invested in entertaining my little daughter. So for the time being my favorite pastime is learning new songs, shapes, animals and whenever “I am happy and I know it” to clap my hands.”
